Verbing
VER-bing
This device takes a noun and turns it into a verb. In fact, the figure can recruit any part of speech—noun, adjective, adverb, whatever—and transform it into any other part. Technical term: anthimeria (an-thih-MER-ia). From the Greek, meaning “part switch.” As with the portmanteau, verbing helps you create new language.
